Shell TapUp relieves your organization when it comes to refueling. Did you know that in addition to diesel and gasoline, you can also opt for sustainable alternatives like GTL and HVO? This fits in with our mission to make sustainable fuels available to everyone quickly. Satisfied customers explain what the services and sustainable mission of Shell TapUp mean for them.
Peter Kloosterman is the workshop manager at Auto Hoogenboom, a large dealer for Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda and Volkswagen Bedrijfswagens in the Rijnmond region. In addition, Auto Hoogenboom leases cars for business and private purposes and has two damage repair companies. The TapUp vehicles comes by once a week to refuel all used and new cars.
Peter: ‘In the beginning I was skeptical. I wondered if Shell TapUp would really deliver the promised savings. Now I’m convinced. Shell TapUp greatly relieves our organization. Previously my engineers refueled and I lost an average of ten minutes to fifteen minutes per refueling. They often had five in a day. That expensive time was therefore lost. Now that Shell TapUp is filling our cars, my engineers are getting more jobs done. I also think it is great that Shell TapUp is thinking ahead in terms of sustainability. Our market is changing so quickly, so it’s great that they are on top of it. “
Peter sees another big advantage in Shell TapUp: ‘For us, there was quite a risk in those trips to the gas station. Because if we drive on a public road with a new car, we risk damaging it. Now that Shell TapUp is filling up with us, that risk is gone. We don’t have to worry about refueling. We hardly notice that they have visited, except of course for the full tanks. ‘
THE BEELEN GROUP
Richard Koster is deputy director at De Beelen Group, which operates multiple workshops for vehicle repairs and maintenance. Shell TapUp comes to refuel at the Athlon Service Center in Rotterdam, where lease drivers have their cars repaired and maintained.
Richard: “The Shell TapUp vehicle fills the cars that people get when their own vehicle is repaired with us. If customers return those cars at the end of the day, they must be checked and refueled. That gave the employee responsible for the fleet quite some stress. Before closing time, around nine cars had to go back and forth to the gas station a mile away. Because Shell TapUp comes by every day, that workload is no longer there. And there is more time left for other work.”
Richard welcomes Shell TapUp’s sustainable mission: “Of course we also look at sustainability. If customers think environmentally friendly cars are important, this must be reflected in our fleet. It is a slow process. It’s great to have a party on board with Shell TapUp that plays a pioneering role in this.”
